How to Connect Influee to Claude and ChatGPT

5 October 2026

Written By Urban Cvek

Co-Founder & CEO, Influee

You can connect Influee to Claude and ChatGPT and run a good part of your creator work from a chat. Ask which deliveries are waiting for review, draft offers to five creators at once, confirm a shipment with its tracking link, or pull the numbers for last month's campaign. The assistant does the clicking in Influee for you.

It works through the Influee connector, an MCP server that both assistants can use. Setup takes a couple of minutes per assistant, and you sign in with the Influee account you already have.

Below: setup for both assistants, prompts to try, limits and data handling.

TL;DR

  • Find Influee in Claude's Connectors Directory or ChatGPT's plugin directory, click Connect and sign in. If it isn't listed for you yet, add it by URL: https://mcp.influee.co/dashboard/mcp.
  • You sign in with your Influee account through OAuth. Claude and ChatGPT never see your password.
  • The assistant can only do what your Influee role and subscription allow, and it asks before it sends anything to a creator.
  • You can disconnect at any time from the assistant's settings, which ends its access.

What the Influee connector does

The connector gives Claude or ChatGPT access to the same Influee account you use in the Influee dashboard. Once it's connected, you can ask the assistant to:

  • Run campaigns: create a draft campaign, edit it, submit it for review, duplicate it, open or close recruitment, or remove it.
  • Find creators: search creators on Influee, open a creator's profile and add creators to your lists.
  • Manage offers: draft and send offers, decline proposals, withdraw offers, change deadlines and open a dispute.
  • Message creators: write a draft for you to check, or send a message right away.
  • Handle tasks: confirm shipment or delivery, add tracking links and promo codes, and approve delivered content or raw footage or ask for changes. Approving a creator's final deliverable completes the collaboration and releases the payment Influee is already holding, the same as in the dashboard.
  • Work with briefs and content: browse your content library and video transcripts, manage briefs and creative assets, and attach documents from Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Notion or Canva.
  • Look things up: brands, products, share links, saved documents and answers from the Influee help docs. Account admins can also read payments, invoices and payment methods.

Most of the time saved comes from chaining actions: "Find every Spring collaboration that shipped 10+ days ago without a delivery and draft a reminder to each creator" is one prompt instead of a long round of clicking.

How the Influee connector works: Claude or ChatGPT sends your request to the Influee connector, which checks your account permissions and runs it in your Influee account

What you need before you connect

  • An Influee brand account. You sign in with the same email or Google login you use for the dashboard.
  • A Claude or ChatGPT account. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans and on ChatGPT workspaces, an admin may need to allow Influee before you can connect it.
  • An active Influee subscription if you want the assistant to message creators or see creator contact details.
  • The admin role on your Influee account if you want to use the billing tools (payments, invoices and payment methods).

We've submitted Influee to both directories. If you can't find it in the directory yet, the listing isn't live for you, so use the manual setup further down. It takes the same couple of minutes.

How to connect Influee to Claude

Influee is added from Claude's Connectors Directory, the catalog every Claude app shares.

  1. Go to claude.ai and open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Browse the directory and search for Influee.
  3. Open the Influee listing and click Connect.
  4. Sign in with your Influee account in the window that opens and approve access.
  5. In a chat, click +, open Connectors and make sure Influee is switched on.

Once you're connected on claude.ai, Influee is also there in the Claude desktop and mobile apps, signed in to the same account.

On a Team plan, if you don't have permission to add connectors, you'll see Request instead of Connect. That sends the request to your organization's Owners. On Enterprise, an Owner adds Influee under Organization settings > Connectors, and each member then clicks Connect to sign in with their own Influee account.

Six steps to connect Influee to Claude from the Connectors Directory: Customize > Connectors, search for Influee, Connect, sign in with Influee, switch it on in a chat, and use it on desktop and mobile too

How to connect Influee to ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, Influee is added from the plugin directory, which replaced the old app directory.

  1. Open the plugin directory in ChatGPT (chatgpt.com/plugins).
  2. Search for Influee and open the listing.
  3. Click Install plugin, then Connect if ChatGPT asks for it.
  4. Sign in with your Influee account in the window that opens and approve access.
  5. In a chat, type @ and pick Influee, then ask your question.

On a workspace plan, admins manage which plugins people can use under Admin Console > Plugins. If Influee is missing or greyed out for you, ask your workspace admin to enable it.

Six steps to connect Influee to ChatGPT from the plugin directory: open Plugins, search for Influee, Install plugin and Connect, sign in with Influee, pick Influee with @ in a chat, and ask an admin on workspace plans

Before the directory listing is live, or in Claude Code and developer mode

You can always add Influee by its server URL instead of from a directory:

https://mcp.influee.co/dashboard/mcp

Claude: add a custom connector

  1. Open Customize > Connectors and click Add custom connector.
  2. Enter Influee as the name and the URL above as the server URL.
  3. If Claude asks how people sign in, choose Sign in now. If it asks about the OAuth client, choose Register automatically. Then click Add.
  4. Click Connect, sign in with Influee and approve access.

ChatGPT: developer mode

  1. Open Settings > Security and login and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Go to Plugins, click + and choose Create custom MCP server.
  3. Enter Influee as the name and paste the URL above under Connection.
  4. Choose OAuth, click I understand and want to continue, then Create as a plugin.
  5. Sign in with Influee and approve access.

If a label looks different, the OpenAI guide to connecting MCP servers has the current wording.

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http influee https://mcp.influee.co/dashboard/mcp

Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, pick influee and sign in. If you work in Claude Code a lot, Influee Agent adds skills your whole team can run.

Signing in, permissions and security

When you click Connect, Claude or ChatGPT sends you to the Influee sign-in page. You log in there, not in the assistant.

  • Your password stays with Influee. The connection uses OAuth 2.0. The assistant gets a limited access token, never your password.
  • Your permissions apply on every request. The connector checks your role and subscription each time the assistant uses a tool, the same way the dashboard does.
  • Access expires. A connection stays signed in for 90 days. After that, the assistant asks you to sign in again.
  • You can disconnect anytime. Remove or disconnect Influee in Customize > Connectors (Claude) or under Plugins (ChatGPT). That ends the assistant's access to your account.

Prompts to try first

Start with questions that only read data, so you see how the assistant reads your account before it changes anything.

  • "List my active campaigns and how many creators applied to each."
  • "Which deliveries are waiting for my review?"
  • "Summarize the views and engagement of my Spring Launch campaign."
  • "Find skincare creators in Germany and add them to my 'Q3 shortlist' list."

Then move on to actions:

  • "Draft an offer to creator Ana for my Spring Launch campaign with a $150 reward."
  • "Confirm I shipped the product to Ana with tracking link https://track.example.com/123."
  • "Add the promo code SPRING15 to all collaborations in my Spring Launch campaign."
  • "Draft a message to every creator in my Summer campaign reminding them the deadline is Friday. Don't send it yet."

Name campaigns and creators the way they appear in Influee to cut the back and forth.

Example prompts for the Influee connector, from read-only questions about campaigns and deliveries to actions like drafting offers and confirming shipments

What the assistant can and can't do

The assistant acts only through your account, and only when you ask.

Anything that reaches a creator or moves money asks for your confirmation first. That covers sending a message or an offer, and approving a final deliverable. Drafts are the safer default: ask for a draft, check it in Influee, then send.

Approving a final deliverable completes the collaboration. When you approve a creator's final delivery through the assistant, Influee completes the collaboration and releases the payment it's already holding to the creator, exactly as it does when you approve in the dashboard.

The assistant can't:

  • charge your payment method, accept a creator's proposal or complete a collaboration directly. Those stay in the dashboard;
  • do anything your role or subscription doesn't allow, such as reading billing records without the admin role or messaging creators without an active subscription;
  • see brands or accounts you don't have access to;
  • change your Influee password or login details.

How your data is handled

Data you ask for goes to the assistant you're using, and Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT) processes it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Influee logs every action the assistant runs, with the action name, its parameters, the result and the time. We use those logs for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.

A few features use other services to do their job:

  • Help docs search sends your question to OpenAI to write the answer.
  • Message search sends your search query to OpenAI to find matching conversations.
  • Creating a brand or product from a website reads that website and uses OpenAI to fill in the details.
  • Attaching a document to a brief fetches it from Google, Notion or Canva.

Our Privacy Policy has the full details, including how long data is kept and how to ask for it to be deleted. Use of the connector is covered by our Terms of Service.

Troubleshooting

You can't find Influee in the directory. The listing may not be live for you yet, or your workspace admin hasn't allowed it. Use the manual setup with the server URL, or ask your admin.

The assistant asks you to sign in again. Connections last 90 days. When one expires or is revoked, disconnect Influee in the assistant's settings, connect it again and sign in.

You get a "subscription required" error. Messaging creators and seeing creator contact details need an active Influee subscription. Check your plan in the dashboard, then try again.

The assistant can't see payments or invoices. Billing tools are for account admins only. Ask an admin on your team to change your role, or to run the request.

The assistant ignores Influee. Make sure Influee is switched on for that chat (+ > Connectors in Claude, @ in ChatGPT) and name it in the prompt: "In Influee, list my active campaigns."

Still stuck? Email hello@influee.co with what you asked the assistant and what happened.
