Tom is a conversion copywriter and the founder of I Sell Words, a boutique conversion-to-retention studio in Melbourne. He started it in 2014 as a copywriting and SEO content business and has since moved into website conversion optimisation and email marketing for customer retention.
His work sits where marketing ends and sales begin. Plenty of brands already have the traffic and the leads; the gap is that too few of them convert, and too many customers quietly churn after the first purchase. Tom closes that gap with a loop of tests and improvements on landing pages and websites, and with email and CRM sequences that keep customers coming back.
Before that he was a journalist and editor, including six years as editor of Hysteria magazine, and he was later Head of Digital PR at Smith Brothers Media. He has written for small businesses, fast-growing brands and ASX 200 listed companies such as Virgin Australia, News Corp, 7News, Savvy, NOW Finance, Rivers and the Movember Foundation.
Tom is based in Melbourne and works in English with brands in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.
